Nokia Bell Labs Antwerp is co-located with one of the main Nokia R&D sites. Its research activities span converged access technologies and software & systems. The area of access technologies, including optical and wireless technologies, covers the following domains: signal processing and algorithms, hardware platforms, and network architectures and protocols. Software and systems encompass federated stream processing, Web3 software systems, privacy–enabling technologies, AI-driven software development tools and AI Network Automation.
Next to the research, Bell Labs consulting is represented in Antwerp.
Bell Labs researchers in Belgium collaborate with academic and industrial partners in Europe. Close to home, we have long-standing partnerships with imec and its affiliated research labs and the KU Leuven. Imec is the world-leading R&D and innovation hub in nanoelectronics and digital technologies.
Nokia Bell Labs Antwerp is engaged in several VLAIO funded research collaborations and participates in the European Horizon 2020 program.
